“We pride ourselves on being a company that is among the first to adopt new and exciting products, and are proud to have been the first retailer in North America to carry the Orabrush,” said Rob Felix, general manager of general merchandise at London Drugs. “Our customers’ satisfaction is our first priority, and ensuring availability of the Orabrush as one of our oral hygiene products helps us deliver on that promise.”

Canadian stores were among the first to adopt the Orabrush tongue cleaner thanks to the popularity of the company’s quirky YouTube videos, which fostered demand for the product in stores. Of Orabrush’s more than 50 million views worldwide on its YouTube channel, 8.6 million of those have come from Canada and it is estimated that 1 in 5 Canadians have watched an Orabrush YouTube video. Approximately 47,000 of the company’s more than 340,000 Facebook fans reside in Canada, with Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver ranking in the top 10 cities of followers worldwide.

“Canadians have been some of Orabrush’s most ardent supporters,” said Jeff Davis, CEO of Orabrush. “Orabrush’s placement in these respected retailers is the result of our Reverse Marketing Model, which drives awareness online and demand offline, leading to retail partnerships and helping consumers cure bad breath. We have had tremendous success reaching audiences around the world and look forward to seeing that continue in these Canadian retail outlets.”

For eight years, inventor Robert Wagstaff “Dr. Bob” was unable to find a consumer base for his tongue cleaner as forays into retail and TV infomercials proved unfruitful. It wasn't until the then 75-year-old joined forces with Jeffrey Harmon, a college student at the time, to produce a YouTube video marketing the product as a tool to help cure bad breath that Orabrush took off. Ranked in the top subscribed sponsor channels on YouTube, Orabrush has transformed its impressive online support into worldwide distribution at more than 30,000 retail locations.
