METAIRIE, Louisiana--OrthoSynetics, a provider of business services to orthodontic and dental practices worldwide, has contracted with Dr. Ravi Nanda as a strategic consultant.

"Dr. Nanda will help guide our efforts on everything from strategic planning and new business development to practice enhancement and patient service."
The author of the best selling textbook, "Biomechanic and Esthetic Strategies in Clinical Orthodontics," Dr. Nanda has been the author and co-author of three orthodontic books and more than 100 orthodontic journal articles. A member of several orthodontic journals, he serves as associate editor of the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics.
Dr. Nanda has done extensive research during the last 30 years in the areas of cleft lip and palate, orthopedic forces and on long-term growth with orthognathic surgery in adolescents. In recent years, his major thrust has been in clinical orthodontic trials and application of biomechanics in a busy orthodontic practice.
He is an active member of the leading orthodontic organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists, European Orthodontic Society and the Edward H. Angle Society. He also is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Nanda received his dental training from Lucknow University, India, in 1964. He received his orthodontic training first at Lucknow then from Nymegen, The Netherlands, and the University of Connecticut. He also received a Ph.D. from the University of Nymegen in 1969.
