Sunstar Americas and RDH magazine recently announced the eight recipients of the 2011 Sunstar/RDH Award of Distinction.
The eight recipients will be honored during a ceremony and reception at the RDH Under One Roof conference in Chicago on July 28-29, 2011. The recipients will also be profiled in the September 2011 issue of RDH magazine.
The 2011 recipients of the award, which started in 2002 as a collaborative effort between Sunstar Americas and RDH magazine to recognize the nation’s leading dental hygienists, are:
- Dorothy Allers of Basking Ridge, N.J.
- Christel Autuori of Ridgefield, Conn.
- Rosie Bellert of Lake Forest Park, Wash.
- Cynthia Carlson of Lincoln, Neb.
- Dona Gabzdyl of Elk Grove Village, Ill.
- Audrey Jarabek of Saginaw, Mich.
- Dawn Kasper of Buffalo Grove, Ill.
- Celeste Terry of New Orleans, La.
“We’re delighted that these eight dental hygienists will be recognized at RDH Under One Roof for all of their hard work in dental hygiene,” said Mark Hartley, editor of RDH magazine. “Sunstar and RDH place a very high value on acknowledging the various ways dental hygienists are very distinctive with their contributions to private practice, community outreach, and education.”
A judging panel consisting of previous recipients of the Sunstar/RDH Award of Distinction selected the 2011 recipients.
