An anonymous author who has autism wrote the “greeting” on the first two slides, and the remaining slides are need-to-know tips for treating patients with autism. Karen frequently speaks about autism and oral care and looks forward to meeting RDH eVillage readers at the following seminars/conventions.

Karen A. Raposa, RDH, MBA, is currently Senior Manager of Professional Relations at Colgate-Palmolive. Karen has spent the last several years of her career lecturing to dental professionals on an international level and writing several journal articles on a variety of topics. In addition, her work has recently been published as a full chapter in both Dr. Esther Wilkins’ textbook titled “Clinical Practice for the Dental Hygienist,” as well as the North American Dental Clinics “The Special Care Patient” publication. Karen has held several varied positions during her career in dental hygiene that include private practice, business management, professional relations, marketing, and sales.
