As you read this, I will be attending RDH UOR 2015 in Las Vegas! There will be many exciting events taking place. The keynote speaker, Allison Massari, takes her audience on a journey, offering tools to rise above any obstacle and find peace, purpose, and happiness. Allison shines light on the provider’s immense value to a patient, reinvigorating employees and helping heal burnout in the workplace. Her program illustrates how kindness is a critical healing tool.
I would like you to be aware of the 1st Academy of Applied Myofunctional Sciences Congress at the Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles September 9–13, 2015. It will present groundbreaking research, surgical techniques, and advanced protocols in the support of helping bring myofunctional therapy to a broader patient base. Over 30 speakers from around the world will present some groundbreaking work, including for the first time lectures by Stanford’s Christian Guilleminault.
This issue also features information from the ADA recent publications on Nonsurgical treatment of chronic periodontitis: An evidence-based clinical practice guideline and systematic review. It was compiled by the American Dental Association (ADA) Council on Scientific Affairs, and can be found on the ADA Center for Evidence-Based Dentistry website.
See you in Las Vegas!
Sincerely,
Maria Perno Goldie, RDH, MS
