Soon we welcome fall, and say good bye to summer. I am getting back to the swing of things, after being gone for over three weeks. My Presidency of the International Federation of Dental Hygienists (IFDH) came to an end at the closing of the International Symposium on Dental Hygiene. What a meeting we had! More on the meeting in this issue and other issues to follow.
Some of the Americans at the President’s Reception: Ann Battrell, RDH, MS, Executive Director, ADHA; Carol Jahn, RDH, MS, ADHA Delegate to IFDH; Tami Grzesikowski, RDH, MEd, ADEA; Maria Perno Goldie, RDH, MS, (then) President, IFDH; Susan Kass, RDH, EdD, ADEA; and Denise Bowers, RDH, PhD, President, ADHA. After the meeting, my husband & I were joined by 14 others as we flew to Nairobi to begin our safari in the Maasi Mara, Serengeti, Lake Mayanara, and then off to Zanzibar for R & R.
We were very fortunate to see two cheetahs.
The cheetah is a large feline inhabiting most of Africa and parts of the Middle East.
Beautiful female lion
Handsome male lion
