Wrigley announced that the Wrigley Oral Healthcare Program is launching new resources for dental professionals. Monthly emails from the program will provide tips and insights for making the patient experience more enjoyable and helping dental practices grow.

The Wrigley Oral Healthcare Program has partnered with dental professionals for more than 25 years. The program draws on decades of clinical research and expertise about the oral care benefits of sugarfree gum. The Wrigley program has supported independent, clinical research into the benefits of chewing gum, including saliva stimulation, plaque acid neutralization, and tooth strengthening.

Chewing sugarfree gum, such as Wrigley’s Orbit, can help keep teeth healthy by activating saliva. Patients enjoy getting samples after dental appointments, and dental professionals can still receive an Orbit Sugarfree Gum Sample Kit through the Wrigley Oral Healthcare Program.

The expansion of the program adds the benefit of monthly emails that feature exclusive insights on what patients want, fresh ideas, and helpful tips on how to build stronger patient relationships. In addition, the emails contain advice on how to communicate between visits, as well as insights from successful practices.

The new resources leverage research the company conducted in 2015 with more than 2,000 dental professionals and patients to learn more about what patients are looking for in a dental visit.

Wrigley operates oral health-care programs in 47 countries.

“Our research showed multiple opportunities for dental professionals to enhance their patients’ experiences — something dental professionals know is important, but can be a challenge to tackle,” said Caroline Sherman, senior manager of external affairs at Wrigley. “Wrigley is excited to help dental professionals meet these challenges by providing new resources through the refreshed Wrigley Oral Healthcare Program.”
