Masel announces digital photography courses in Philadelphia area

The four-hour courses on Oct. 7 and 8 are taught by Rita Bauer, clinical photographer and educational media specialist at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry.

Masel has announced the 2004 fall schedule for their continuing education series on Digital Dental Photography. Two courses, co-sponsored with Becker-Parkin, are offered this season, "Understanding the Digital Dental Solution" and "Clinical Digital Photography, A Hands-on Workshop." The four-hour courses are taught by Rita Bauer, clinical photographer and educational media specialist at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry.

Both courses will be held in the Philadelphia area at Holy Family University, Woodhaven Campus in Bensalem, PA, on Oct. 7 and 8. Each course offers four CE credits for AGD PACE credits.

On October 7, "Understanding the Digital Dental Solution", is a 4-hour visual presentation and in depth explanation of what digital photography can do for you and how to choose the right digital camera for your practice. Participants will learn the essential guidelines for standardized dental photographs and how to use digital photos to increase case acceptance and communication with the patient and the dental lab.

On October 8, "Clinical Photography, A Hands-on Workshop", will enable participants to use the latest digital cameras for dental photography. They will learn step-by-step instructions on operating the camera and how to set it up for standard clinical views. Participants will also practice taking pictures using retractors and mirrors. Morning or afternoon sessions available. Class size is limited for personalized attention.
