Dr. Joseph P. Trovato, announced today the grand opening of The Northeast Center for Laser Dentistry -- an all-laser dental office now open in northern New Jersey.

"I am one of the few dentists in North Jersey to embrace the idea of laser technology. The problem was I needed one laser for hard tissue and another for soft. When I discovered that Waterlase technology could treat both hard and soft tissue, and allow me to perform procedures I thought impossible, I brought it into my practice." said Trovato

This new technology, called Waterlase technology, derives its name from an operating system where the water is laser-energized to create in most cases, pain-free, suture-free and needle free procedures. The concept of an all laser office means that the dentist can use the laser to diagnose more precisely, whiten more quickly and treat hard and soft tissue with, in most cases, no pain. The Laser Teeth Whitening system has been approved by the FDA and takes one third of the time traditional light activated whitening procedures take.

Waterlase technology gives me the ability to do most work with no needles . I can treat 2, 3 or 4 areas of the mouth at the same time. That means less visits for my patients and more efficiency for me," continued Trovato.

At the Northeast Center for Laser Dentistry, Dr. Trovato sponsors a Periodontal Outreach Program, promoting the benefits of healthy gums and tips on how to avoid periodontal disease. Periodontal disease affects the supporting areas of the gums and affects 80 percent of adult population today. "I found that this technology is a great asset in treating gum disease. It destroys bacteria and allows me to get deep into the affected tissue, with less pain or discomfort and in half the time of traditional periodontal procedures," said Trovato.

Dr. Trovato not only uses the laser, he also trains others on how to use the technology. This June, Dr. Trovato will demonstrate and lecture to a group of colleagues from the tri-state area at his "Ultimate Soft Tissue Course" being held at the Newark Airport Marriott.

The Northeast Center for Laser Dentistry is located in Kearny, New Jersey and can be reached by calling 201-991-0177.
