To read more about Planmeca, go to Planmeca.The Planmeca ProMax 3D Mid provides an extended selection of 3-D volume sizes combined with traditional 2-D panoramic and cephalometric imaging.Planmeca ProMax 3D Mid offers the user a volume size for applications that require 3-D imaging (e.g., endodontics that require high resolution, implantology that requires images with a smaller field of view, and for orthodontics that require large image sizes). The volume sizes range from 34 x 42 mm to 16 x 16 cm. This selection of volume sizes allows optimizing the imaging area according to specific diagnostic task. This complies with the best practices of dentistry and the ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable) principle to minimize radiation. Additionally, the Planmeca ProMax 3D Mid offers a new kind of panoramic imaging. The standard panoramic imaging program is optimized to expose only the teeth area reducing patient dose.
