Included in the total was $6,800 raised while Kodak Dental Systems Group participated in Lee's National Denim Day, the world's largest single-day fundraiser for breast cancer, on October 8.

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month, and this year Kodak employees commemorated it by raising $9,150 for breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment programs.

Kodak's Dental Systems Group raised $6,800 while participating in Lee's National Denim Day, the world's largest single-day fundraiser for breast cancer, on October 8. Kodak employees wore jeans and pink shirts and posted donation slips in memory of friends and family members.

"2004 was our first year participating in this event," said Rich Hirschland, general manager and vice president worldwide dental business, Kodak's Dental Systems Group. "It was wonderful to see everyone's enthusiasm for supporting this important cause."

On the same day, another Atlanta-based Kodak office also launched the Women's Forum of Kodak Employees, a volunteer employee network organized to discuss women's issues. The importance of women having annual mammograms was shared by a medical professional and a breast cancer survivor. Kodak employees attending the forum raised an additional $2,350.

The funds have been donated to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the eradication of breast cancer.

Nationally, more than 1.5 million individuals participated in Lee's National Denim Day this year, raising over $7.6 million.
