Polishers intended to address requirements of high-strength ceramic materials.
ROCK HILL, South Carolina—KOMET USA has announced the introduction of ZR polishers, which have been specially developed to meet the preliminary and final polishing requirements of zirconium oxide and other high-strength ceramic materials. To read more about KOMET, go to KOMET.Launched in spring 2011 at the International Dental Show in Cologne, Germany, KOMET ZR polishers impart a high shine when employed for the final polishing of restorations fabricated of zirconium oxide and other hard, high-strength materials. This includes aluminum oxide and pressed ceramics. Incorporating interspersed diamonds for consistently reliable high performance, KOMET ZR polishers produce a sheen in just two steps. Each step can be easily identified by the color of the ZR polisher: blue for prepolishing and light gray for high-shine final polishing. Each color polisher is available in three sizes. The 94011 C (blue) and 94011 F (gray) polishers measure 26 mm in diameter and 2.0 mm thick; the 94012 C (blue) and 94012 F (gray), 11 mm in diameter, and 1.7 mm thick; and the 94013 C (blue) and 94013 F (gray), 17 mm in diameter and 2.5 mm thick. In addition, their golden shanks readily distinguish KOMET ZR polishers from other abrasives, enhancing efficiency and productivity. For more information, go to www.komet-usa.com..To comment on this product, go to community.pennwelldentalgroup.com/.
