Working with traditional wall mounted X-ray units can be tricky and even difficult at times.
Many dentists and dental assistants are having hard times getting the wall-mounted unit out of cabinets, moving it to the right position, and getting the right angle. The process is time-consuming and hectic.
Innoden has launched a new portable X-ray unit, BIOX, in an effort to help dental professionals with ease of the dental X-ray process.
BIOX is designed so that the battery pack is separated from the main body to which the operator is holding. This design allowed the BIOX to be only 4.8 pounds to make it one of the lightest portable X-ray units on the market.
The battery pack can be clipped to the belt or placed in operator’s pockets. Also, the functions of the BIOX are intuitive and user-friendly. It features a large, color LCD display with buttons for easy operation.
“I prefer BIOX over the wall-mounted because it is so much lighter and easier to maneuver,” said Jennifer Barkhouse, LDA.
“It takes less than three minutes for me to take a FMX on a patient now, and I would never want to go back to the wall-mounted X-ray.”
According to Dr. Julie Hong of Evergreen Dental in Everett, Wash: “Using BIOX is one of the wisest choices I’ve made on buying a dental product. It saves so much time.”
There are other portable X-ray units out in the market, but some are very expensive and some are not FDA approved to be used in the U.S. BIOX is FDA approved and priced to be very affordable.
Innoden, LLC was founded to provide the most innovative dental products to the dental professionals at an affordable price.
