Monitor mounts bring technology into view

A-dec offers three new styles of overhead monitor mount solutions: wall mount, central console mount and ceiling mount.

NEWBERG, Ore.--A-dec just made it easier for dental professionals to expand their view in the treatment room.

Starting Aug. 27, the company began offering three new styles of overhead monitor mount solutions: wall mount, central console mount and ceiling mount. Each style covers a wide area of the treatment room and, combined with exceptional positioning capabilities, provides a clean, unobstructed view-from patient entertainment, to consultation/education, to practice management.

The three new overhead styles complete A-dec's selection of monitor choices, which includes fully-integrated monitor mounts for A-dec chairs, treatment consoles, and upper storage cabinets.

With three new mounting locations available, customers have more freedom to place the monitor where it's needed most, while also reducing the chance of interference with other equipment.

The new styles are also VESA compliant (75 mm and 100 mm) and can handle up to 20 pounds (9 kg), making it possible for customers to choose virtually any compatible monitor on the market, and still upgrade easily in the future.

The new line of monitor mounts feature:

* Exceptional range of motion, with up to six pivot points, enabling precise positioning, improving visibility for the doctor, the dental team and the patient

* Versatile design including counterbalance tension adjustments and easy cable routing to simplify future monitor upgrades

* Quality construction for exceptional durability and near maintenance-free performance

A-dec's monitor mount solutions are versatile enough to help create a more natural transition between clinical and administrative functions conducted in the treatment room. Strategic monitor placement can also help patients understand and accept recommended treatments, adding to overall patient satisfaction.

"Digital imaging is indispensable in the modern dental practice, and monitors can provide information for front office business operations as well as clinical information in the treatment room," said Greg Watson, A-dec product manager.

"Proper monitor placement makes using digital imaging technologies more natural, encouraging the practitioner to use them to their fullest capacity, which can increase efficiency."
