Quantum Dental Technologies (QDT), creator of The Canary System, has named William Fitzpatrick as its CEO. Fitzpatrick has 36 years of experience working with companies in the dental industry. He has held executive marketing and sales positions with several leading companies in the dental industry.
In 1994, Fitzpatrick founded Fitzpatrick Management Resources, a strategic planning and marketing consulting firm. As a dental industry consultant, he has worked with a broad spectrum of dental manufacturers, both domestic and international, and is best known for his ability to build high-performance teams and produce exceptional results.
"Bill has years of experience in the dental market and will lead our team in introducing this novel technology to the dental profession," added Dr. Stephen Abrams, president of QDT. "The Canary System will shift the management of caries from the surgical approach to disease management and prevention."
The Canary System is the only evidence-based caries detection system that can detect and monitor caries across the entire spectrum of the disease process. Its "Energy Conversion Technology" can detect and measure changes in the tooth structure due to caries or cracks. This allows The Canary to detect caries on all tooth surfaces including interproximal areas, around the margins of restorations and beneath opaque dental sealants. Bacterial porphyrins, stain and restorations which cause false positive readings with some of the fluorescence-based technologies do not affect any of the measurements done by The Canary System.
"QDT has developed reliable technology that will help dentists treat caries from the earliest small lesions to the placement of restorations," Fitzpatrick said. "The Canary System is the only caries detection device that can detect and measure changes in the crystal structure of the tooth."
