Product Navigator: Tuff-Temp Plus from Pulpdent

April 14, 2022
Joshua Austin, DDS, MAGD, demonstrates how to use Tuff-Temp Plus provisional crown and bridge material on a three-unit FPD provisional. He also explains how to perform the repair process as well as apply the glaze.

Today on the Product Navigator, I’ll be demonstrating Tuff-Temp Plus from Pulpdent—one of my favorite provisional crown and bridge materials.

Its strong, rubberized resin polymer gives you a nice fracture resistance, which will keep things from breaking in your practice. There’s nothing that throws the schedule off more than having to remake a temporary before the crown is in.

Tuff-Temp Plus has its own flowable patch material and its own glaze material, so you can repair your provisionals while making them should you need to, and then, if you want to take multiunits or anterior provisionals to the next level, you can paint the glaze on and get a gorgeous provisional. The product trims well, is strong, and has those extra components that give me a lot of options.

Join me as I demo Tuff-Temp Plus by making a three-unit fixed partial denture (FPD) provisional. I’ll also go through the repair process and use of the glaze that accompanies the provisional material.
