Ivoclar introduces Telio

April 20, 2010
Temporary restorative material offers solutions for dentists, CAD/CAM users, and dental technicians.
AMHERST New York--Ivoclar Vivadent has announced introduction of Telio.Telio is a newly developed system of temporary restorative solutions for dentists, CAD/CAM users, and dental technicians. Featuring three lines of materials developed for shade and material compatibility—Telio CS, Telio CAD, and Telio Lab—the Telio system addresses the needs of dentists and dental technicians for products that enable them to work together more cooperatively. Because the chairside and labside products are compatible, Telio enables collaboration between dentists and dental technicians across phases of treatment. For chairside applications, Telio CS includes: Telio CS C&B, a self-curing temporary crown and bridge material; Telio CS Link, a dual-curing, eugenol-free luting composite; and Telio CS Desensitizer. Telio CS C&B also facilitates fabrication of inlays, onlays, and veneers, demonstrates mechanical properties, and is a relining material for temporary restorations fabricated from Telio CAD and Telio Lab materials. Telio CAD acrylate polymer blocks can be used to fabricate long-term temporary crowns and bridges using CAD/CAM technology. Additionally, Telio CAD helps eliminate the challenges associated with traditional temporization processes, such as polymerization shrinkage, impression errors, mixing errors, and clean up. With its high flexural strength and flexural modulus, Telio CAD restorations are wearable for up to 12 months. As a result, Telio CAD is considered a temporary restorative material for implants and other clinical situations that require long-term temporary placement. Telio Lab features a cold curing powder/liquid resin system that can be layered to create a broad range of shades, internal characterizations, and incisal effects. Using the cut-back technique, Telio Lab LC (Light Curing) components can be applied to customize temporary crowns and bridges. For more information, call (800) 533-6825 in the U.S. or (800) 263-8182 in Canada or visit www.ivoclar.com.To read more about Ivoclar Vivadent, go to www.dentistryiq.com/index/display/article-display/7952129168/articles/dentisryiq/practice-management/q-and_a_with_dr__joe0.html.To comment on this product, go to community.pennwelldentalgroup.com/.
