Jan. 25, 2002
From now until February 15, doctors and laboratory technicians who register will receive a $250 discount on their meeting tuition.

The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) will host its 18th Annual Scientific Session from May 7-12, 2002. For one week, the cosmetic dental community will convene in tropical Honolulu, Hawaii and join the AACD in taking cosmetic dentistry From Solo to Symphony. From now until February 15, 2002, doctors and laboratory technicians who register will receive a $250 discount on their meeting tuition.

Most importantly, meeting tuition fees include virtually all meeting expenses, including the opening general sessions, all lectures, most workshops (excluding limited-attendance courses), and all of the social events. Unlike other dental meetings, there are no hidden costs for courses when attendees arrive on-site at the AACD Scientific Session.

Highlights of the 18th Annual AACD Scientific Session include:

Opening General Sessions -- From Solo to Symphony is the only dental conference that offers attendees the opportunity for general-life learning. We have assembled an array of experts who will help cosmetic dental professionals get the most out of everything they do, both professionally and personally.

Over 75 Clinical Presenters -- The premier names in dentistry will present to attendees on topics that range from clinical excellence to marketing a private practice more effectively. All cosmetic dental professionals who attend will hone their skills by learning from the very best teachers that dentistry has to offer.

Unrivaled Social Program -- Each year, the AACD Scientific Session provides attendees with an interactive cultural experience wherever it is held, and Hawaii will be no exception. Enjoy a Taste of the Islands at this year's Opening Reception, sample exotic wines at the popular Wine Tasting Event, mingle with new and old friends alike at the Mai-Tai-One-On reception, and experience the swinging 1940s Supper Club feeling at the President's Dinner Dance to close the meeting.

Give Back A Smile(TM) Silent Auction
Attendees will have the opportunity to bid on a host of items, ranging from dental office equipment to weekend getaways. All proceeds from the event go directly to the AACD Charitable Foundation for the benefit of the Give Back A Smile program, which provides free reconstructive dental work to survivors of domestic violence.

Eighth Annual National Smile Gallery Competition
The annual AACD Smile Gallery offers fine smile designers the opportunity to put their work on display for the entire cosmetic dental community and gain recognition for their outstanding skills. Prestigious awards are given out in numerous categories, and the winning entries are displayed at the President's Dinner Dance at the end of the week.

Tenth Annual Fine Art Show
This competition showcases attendees' finest works of art outside of cosmetic dentistry. Often, the art of fine smile design translates to other media, from oil paintings to contemporary photography. Winners are awarded in several categories.

Optional Tours
Attendees who bring their loved ones with them to Hawaii will truly experience the Islands on one of the many optional tour programs. From the sights and sounds of metropolitan Honolulu to the ambiance of Iolani Royal Palace, all guests of Hawaii will be in for an adventure they will never forget. Tour packages will be provided by a destination management-company, and registrations can be made under the Guest section of www.aacdhawaii.com
