She's the dental 'wine-genist' and a CE enthusiast

Katrina Sanders, MEd, BSDH, has an obvious enthusiasm for the dental CE courses she writes for DACE. But ask her about becoming a sommelier and she really lights up.

There's no doubt that Katrina Sanders, MEd, BSDH, enjoys sharing her extensive dental knowledge with others through the continuing education courses she writes for the Dental Academy of CE (DACE). Her topics include the oral-systemic link, periodontics, microbiology, and local anesthesia. She thrives on the collaboration of her fellow dental professionals in creating and disseminating important information, and enjoys serving as a member of the DACE advisory board.

When she isn't a busy dental hygienist chairside or writing courses, Sanders is working on furthering her sommelier education. Her reputation as a wine connoisseur precedes her. For example, a hotel where she spoke at a dental event one year changed its house white from a chardonnay to Sanders' favorite New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.

Watch her chat with Dr. Pamela Maragliano-Muniz to learn what led her to dentistry and continuing education. Then stay tuned to find out what wines she recommends for unwinding after a hard day at work or to accompany your favorite meals.
