September letter from ADIA executive director Lynn Mortilla

Sept. 23, 2010

Dear Colleagues,

Documentation and communication continue to be vital parts of the auxiliary’s role in implant patient care. The ADIA has tried to simplify these processes with our digital handbook, “ADIA’s Guide to Simplifying Implant Dentistry.” Members of the ADIA have access to this handbook in our members’ only section online — and with every yearly renewal, we send a disk copy to our members. I am thankful to have Dental Assisting Digest as another medium to disperse these documents. In the beginning of 2011, you will see our handbook triple in size to meet the changing needs of implant auxiliaries.

I would like to share with you two of our newer additions for you to begin using immediately. Please share these documents with your team members, modify them for your personal practices, and communicate with your team about the specifics — where, when, and why you will utilize these tools. It’s my hope they help simplify your responsibilities.

Lynn Mortilla
Executive Director, ADIA
