Hello from Las Vegas and the annual meeting of the American Association of Dental Office Managers (AADOM). While here, I've had the chance to chat with Cindy Durley from DANB, and I was fortunate enough to see my friends from the ADAA during their recent gathering in Orlando. Needless to say, I feel very blessed to have such friends in the industry and be able to catch up with them about "hot topics" on a regular basis.

If you haven't been to a meeting of your fellow assistants on a state, regional, or national level, you're missing out. Networking is a key to happiness and growth in your profession, so take advantage of the opportunity when you can.

This issue finds two stories I have been anticipating for quite some time. The first is the final look at the 2010 salary survey. More than 700 of you filled out our survey, and I truly appreciate your insights and time. You can find the article and my thoughts by clicking here.

The second is a compilation of thoughts from five experts in the field. Tina Calloway, Teresa Duncan, Tija Hunter, Cathy Jameson, and Linda Miles each answered a question I have received from a dental assistant ... and they are tough questions. Take a look at these five insights into five tough questions from five experts by clicking here.

Hope you have a great Halloween. Read on, this is your e-newsletter ...
