G-Light cordless LED universal curing light
GC AMERICA introduces the GC G-Light, the first portable LED light that cures all dental composites. This LED light employs two different LED series in the same device, allowing it to operate in both a 470 nm and 403 nm wavelength peak. It is cordless yet high-intensity, requiring only half of the curing time needed by a typical halogen light while ensuring an optimal depth of cure.
The lightweight, ergonomically designed unit features an 8 mm Turbo light guide that is autoclavable. The operation panel allows for 5, 10, 20-second, and continuous cure settings. A wavelength switch enables the operator to change from the 470 nm to the 403 nm setting. The fully rechargeable battery has an indicator that moves from green (full charge), to yellow (medium charge), to red (empty) as the battery discharges with use.

Back support from the front!
Using a revolutionary new approach to prevent back fatigue and distress, the AnterioRest attaches to the back of the patient chair. The AnterioRest reduces muscle strain that leads to back distress by providing frontal, hands-free support for an inclined working position. Kurt Klemm, physical therapist and spine rehab specialist, designed the Anteriorest after recognizing that the traditional solution to muscle stress - perfect posture - is difficult to maintain. The AnterioRest uses a revolutionary approach to the problem by providing support from the front. Multiple adjustments allow for nearly infinite positioning, ranging from sitting to standing for extractions. The Anteriorest attaches securely to most popular brands of dental chairs, and comes in a choice of five leather upholstery colors.

First digital dental mouth mirror
Miras Imaging Inc. introduces the MirroScope™, the first operative instrument that enables dental practitioners to work from a monitor, viewing magnified and illuminated real-time images. Mark VI apex locator
Miltex introduces a new micro-sized apex locator that can be positioned near the oral cavity. The Mark VI apex locator is used within the field of vision of the operator to reduce fatigue. Dental assistants love it because it is easy to set up and the cables are very short - so less time is spent untangling and making space for a bulky piece of equipment.
Using sophisticated software, the Miltex Mark VI immediately converts analog signals to digital format and transmits data via short cables. The cables are 80 percent shorter than those used in other apex locators, reducing electromagnetic interference that can affect accuracy. It is powered by two lithium batteries that are available most anywhere.
The Mark VI can be clipped anywhere at a very short distance from the oral cavity. Five LEDs, distributed every half millimeter, show the depth of progress. It accurately locates the apex in all canal conditions, including dry, wet, and bleeding canals. The unit offers a full two-year warranty. For more information, call (800) 645-8000 or visit www.miltex.com.
