The new “automatic image enhancement” feature for Prof Suni Software enhances an X-ray image by implementing a set of algorithms that are designed for dental diagnostic needs.

In addition to the CMOS Fiber Optic SuniRay sensor, the feature displays X‐ray images comparable to competitive brands.

Prof Suni Software acquires images after an X-ray capture in one second. Within that second, the automatic image enhancement feature, enhances the image so dental practicioners can quickly diagnose patients without having to spend extra time manually enhancing the images through modification tools (although Prof Suni has tools for manual image enhancements for a customized display).

This new feature will be demonstrated at the 2011 AAE, CDA, and AAO meetings.
