Exactly where did 2009 go? It seems like I always get to the end of the year and ask that question. I used to roll my eyes when my parents would tell me that the older they got, the faster time seemed to go. Now I think I’m starting to understand what they meant. It’s impossible for me to think that my daughter will be 12 in February. Argh! She can’t be growing up that fast!
This past year certainly had its memorable moments, but maybe none more important than the economic cloud that seemed to hang over us ... and still does to some extent. Throughout the past year, I tried to have stories in Dental Assisting Digest™ that would help you with money issues, and that trend will continue in 2010. While the economy is getting better, it’s certain that our world has changed and we need to change as well. You’ll notice that one of the themes for this issue is looking back on 2009 and some of the best stories we published this year. You’ll also notice that several of those articles deal with finances. Coincidence? I think not. Be sure to check out our Top 10 articles of 2009 by clicking here.
As the year winds to a close, I want to thank each of you for reading Dental Assisting Digest™, and I want to say a very heartfelt word of appreciation to each of the authors who contributed to DAD over the past year. I thank them for going the extra mile to help empower dental assistants, personally and professionally.
I hope your holiday season is wonderful and filled with family, friends, and fun. I’m looking forward to 2010. I hope you are as well.
