Andre Theberge, RDT, CDT, has been elected to the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Board of Directors.

MADISON, Wisconsin--Andre Theberge, RDT, CDT, has been elected to the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Board of Directors.

His term began at the AACD’s 27th Annual Scientific Session May 18-21, 2011, in Boston, Mass.

Theberge is laboratory manager at Drake Precision Dental Lab in Charlotte, N.C., and is responsible for fixed and removable prostheses. He attended George Brown College in Toronto, Canada. His career began 30 years ago as a private technician. Subsequently, he established commercial dental labs in the Hamilton area in Canada.

A past president of the ADTO in Canada, Theberge received his RDT designation in 1988, and his CDT in 1998. He served as Canadian sales manager for Ivoclar/Vivadent and continued as technical manager in the education and product development department in Amherst, N.Y., from 1995 to 2001.

He has published articles in various journals, and has lectured throughout North and Central America, and Europe. Theberge achieved his LVI Master Aesthetic Technician status in 2007.

“I am honored to serve on the Board of Directors of the AACD,” Theberge said. “This is the premier organization for advancing excellence in cosmetic dentistry, and I am excited to help lead the profession into the future.”

The AACD Board of Directors comprises 15 elected officials from varying cosmetic dental backgrounds. Its chief responsibilities include: determining the direction of the AACD, creating board policy, and linking with membership to maintain member value.
