Danaher appointments

Henk van Duijnhoven has been promoted to senior vice president and Amir Aghdaei and Henrik Roos have each been appointed vice president and group executive.

WASHINGTON, D.C.--Danaher Corporation has announced that Henk van Duijnhoven has been promoted to senior vice president and Amir Aghdaei and Henrik Roos have each been appointed vice president and group executive of Danaher.

In his new role, van Duijnhoven will have responsibility for Danaher’s dental segment, which includes KaVo Group and Sybron Dental Specialties. Danaher’s dental segment generated $1.8 billion of revenue in 2010. He will report directly to H. Lawrence Culp Jr., Danaher's president and chief executive officer.

van Duijnhoven joined Danaher in 2002 as vice president, business development for product identification. During his time at Danaher, he has served as general manager of Videojet EMEA, managing director of Linx, and vice president, human resources for Danaher.

In 2008, he was appointed group executive of KaVo Group and president of KaVo Worldwide. He holds a bachelor's degree in automotive engineering from Hogere Technische School, the Netherlands, and an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Sloan School of Management.

Aghdaei joined Danaher in 2009 as president of Tektronix. During his time with Danaher, he has been instrumental in driving core growth and improving performance at Tektronix, and in building out Danaher’s test and measurement segment through acquisition.

Aghdael has more than 20 years of experience in the test and measurement industry. He earned an MBA from the University of Delaware, an MS from Georgia State University and a Bachelors of Science degree in industrial engineering from the University of Iran.

Roos joined Danaher in November 2009 via the PaloDEx acquisition where he waspresident and ehief executive officer. Most recently, he has served as president of KaVo’s Imaging Group where he had responsibility for leading Danaher’s dental imaging businesses globally.

Roos brings more than 20 years of dental industry experience to Danaher. In addition to his imaging responsibilities, he will now have responsibility for all of Danaher’s North American dental equipment businesses, including Pelton & Crane. He holds a MS in engineering from the University of Technology, Helsinki.
