Meeting draws more than 200 Team Schein members and supplier partners.
MELVILLE, New York--Henry Schein, a distributor of health-care products and services to office-based practitioners, hosted a fifth annual national sales meeting for the company’s Special Markets Division at Disney’s Grand Floridian Hotel and Spa in Orlando, Fla. In 2011, more than 125 Team Schein members and 75 of the company’s supplier partners participated in the Special Markets National Sales Meeting. The theme of the four-day event, “The Magic of Special Markets,” was tied to the Walt Disney World Resort where the meeting was held. The event included numerous presentations by Henry Schein executives, breakout sessions, supplier exhibits, and a presentation by the Disney Institute on its approach to providing customer service. This was highlighted by a guest appearance from Mickey Mouse. Supplier partners donated products from their exhibits at the meeting’s end to support the initiatives of Henry Schein Cares. “Our annual Special Markets national sales meeting is magic in that it provides an opportunity for Team Schein members and our supplier partners to learn from one another,” said Hal Muller, president, Special Markets Division, Henry Schein. “By interacting directly with our suppliers, we can be sure that our sales team has the best possible knowledge of the markets we serve and the products and services we offer.”In his keynote address, Stanley Bergman, chairman and chief executive officer of Henry Schein, underscored the company’s commitment to customers and other key constituencies.
