Feb. 10, 2014–ATLANTA–Carestream Dental has partnered with Aspen Dental to provide equipment for the Aspen Dental MouthMobile, a fully-equipped dental office on wheels that will go directly into communities and provide free dental care and oral health education. It’s all part of Aspen Dental’s Healthy Mouth Movement, an initiative designed to deliver free dental services, including X-rays, fillings and extractions, to people in need across the country.

“Aspen Dental is one of our largest accounts, and we have enjoyed a long-standing relationship with them,” said Vince Wagner, director of Carestream Dental’s Group Practice Division. “When they asked us to become involved in their new community service initiative, we were happy to do it.”
Carestream Dental has provided all of the imaging equipment that will be used in the MouthMobile. The donated products include one of Carestream Dental’s award-winning CS 8100 panoramic systems, two sizes of RVG 6100 sensors (1 and 2), a CS 2200 intraoral X-ray system and imaging software to complement the equipment.
“By supporting the Healthy Mouth Movement, we’re stepping up to help spread awareness about the importance of oral health,” said Marc Gordon, general manager of U.S. equipment and software for Carestream Dental. “We’re proud to do our part by donating tools and equipment so these dedicated volunteers can provide the best dental care possible for those who need it most.”

The Aspen Dental MouthMobile begins its tour in the Southeast with stops in Atlanta, Orlando and Tampa, before making its way across the country throughout the spring and summer months.
