Donations go to several organizations, help educate employees with Cancer Awareness Fair.
PHOENIX, Arizona--SmartPractice served as host for a Cancer Awareness Health Fair for employees and their families in the summer of 2010. Employees were encouraged to wear pink to the event that featured awareness, education, and cancer prevention tips from the American Cancer Society, Guardians of the Ribbon, and the Wellness Community. The Pink Fire Truck was on-site selling t-shirts to create awareness, and women had the opportunity to sign up for monthly self-exam reminders and Mobile OnSite Mammography screenings. Attendees received educational materials from the American Cancer Society and learned about programs offered at the Wellness Community. A highlight was the presentation of a check for $23,000 to the participating organizations. Proceeds were generated from the sale of exclusive SmartPractice Pink Ribbon health-care products, including Dental Exam Gloves, Prophy Angles, Patient Bibs and Toothbrushes.SmartPractice has contributed more than $85,000 in support of breast cancer awareness and research programs. With 30 additional Pink Ribbon postcards, supply bags, and promotional giveaways slated to debut in 2010, that number should continue to grow.
