PCSO recognizes Opal Ortho

Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics honors  Drs. Terry McDonald and Rick McLaughlin.

SOUTH JORDAN, Utah--The Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics has recognized two Opal Orthodontics advisory board members during the 2010 annual session in Honolulu.

PCSO board members honored Drs. Terry McDonald and Rick McLaughlin for their achievements and contributions to the PCSO and the specialty of orthodontics.

PCSO, a constituent of the American Academy of Orthodontists, was founded in 1917 and consists of approximately 3,000 members. PCSO board members selected Dr. McDonald as the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Established in 2005, the Lifetime Achievement Award represents “exceptional personal effort by a PCSO member to advance the art and science of the orthodontic specialty.” Dr. McDonald is the third recipient of this award, preceded by Dr. Larry Andrews and Dr. Art Dugoni.

Dr. McLaughlin was recognized with an Award of Merit by the PCSO. This award was established in 1987 to honor those within the geographic boundaries of the PCSO who have made a significant contribution to the profession of orthodontics.
