Sirona honored with tech awards

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina--Sirona Dental Systems, a pioneer in digital dentistry 25 years ago and producer of dental CAD/CAM systems, has been honored by the Pride Institute with two Best of Class awards .The awards honored the CEREC CAD/CAM system and CEREC AC CAD/CAM system, powered by Sirona’s patented Bluecam technology.A panel of dental technology experts organized by the Pride Institute placed Sirona’s CEREC and CEREC AC technologies on the list of winners in its best “diagnostic” technologies category. Specifically, the Pride Institute panel of clinicians concluded that Sirona’s CEREC CAD/CAM restoration system trumps others for CAD/CAM restorations. Additionally, Sirona’s CEREC AC acquisition center has been granted the Best of Class award in Pride’s diagnostic category for outstanding digital impressions. For 25 years, CEREC milling units have allowed dental professionals to create dental restorations with textbook speed and precision. The winning technologies are divided into four categories: foundational, diagnostic, therapeutic, and emerging.The Pride Institute Best of Class Technology awards were launched in 2009 as a new concept to provide an unbiased, nonprofit assessment of available technologies in the dental arena.
