Whip Mix sponsors Frechette Award

Award is the annual research competition for new investigators, sponsored by the Prosthodontics Group of the International Association for Dental Research.

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky--The winners of the 2008 Frechette Awards were presented at the International Association for Dental Research's annual meeting in Toronto, Canada.

The Frechette is the annual research competition for new investigators, sponsored by the Prosthodontics Group of the International Association for Dental Research and supported by Whip Mix Corporation.

The winners were Dr. Andreas Rathke, University of Ulm, Germany, for his study entitled "Fiber post Bonding Effectiveness to Root Canal and Composite Core," and Dr. Naoko Santo, University of California-Los Angeles, for her study entitled "Control of oral fibroblast growth and function by N-acetyl cysteine."

Drs. Rathke and Sato each received a check for $1,000.
