In August 2007, the Academy of Laser Dentistry announced that it would honor members who have shown extraordinary commitment to the use of lasers in dentistry by awarding the designations of Fellow and Master of the Academy of Laser Dentistry.
Applications for the 2009 program are being accepted for review through Dec. 31, 2008. Successful candidates will be inducted April 25, 2009, at a ceremony at the Green Valley Ranch in Las Vegas, Nev. The ceremony will be held in conjunction with the ALD's 16th Annual Conference and Exhibition.
