Purpose of seminars is to provide dental professionals with the knowledge and training to incorporate orthodontics into their program of practice offerings.

LOS ANGELES, California--The Smile Foundation, a division of the globally represented Appliance Therapy Group, has announced a new schedule of Minor Tooth Movement Seminars for 2008.

The purpose of the two-day course is to provide dental professionals with the knowledge and training to incorporate orthodontics into their program of practice offerings.

This year's schedule will feature new appliance therapy techniques and innovative applications, as well as patient serving, profit-generating alternatives which promise to actually increase practice revenues to well more than six figures.

The list of course objectives includes: simple cosmetic tooth movement, overlapping upper incisors prior to veneer placement, advances in treatment of obstructive sleep apnea, how to capitalize on advances in sports dentistry, how to take a proper construction bite, correcting minor anterior crowding in less than four months, chairside appliance repair, and how appliance therapy appliances can help patients with periodontal disease.

Fifteen new two-day course packages are available this year. They will be held at several locations throughout the United States and conducted by three different instructors (each a lecturer and personal-practice veteran) from which to choose.

Additionally, every doctor registering for MTM courses online will receive a free hardcover edition of the Principles of Appliance Therapy for Adults and Children (a $129 value). Used on day two of the course, this comprehensive textbook covers more than 500 different appliances and their application in appliance therapy.
