SAN FRANCISCO--OrthoClear, Inc., the maker of "The Next Generation in Invisible Ortodontics," has announced the launch of the company's OrthoTouch technology.
The OrthoTouch technology uses motion-sensing gloves to enable clinicians to maneuver a patient's 3-D dental image. The gloves provide five-finger feedback to the clinician's desktop which translates to specific tooth movements.
Currently, doctors who treat patients with clear aligners are limited to using a standard computer screen and mouse to interact with and control a patient's 3-D model.

OrthoTouch provides OrthoClear doctors with the ability to interact with their patients' OrthoView digital models using specially designed gloves and a holographic display that provides true 3-D visualization.
"We're very excited to introduce the OrthoTouch technology to dental practitioners. We feel this technology brings us a significant step closer to offering doctors the experience of physically interacting with a patient's teeth during the course of treatment," said Zia Chishti, Chief Executive Officer for OrthoClear.
