PreXion announces appointment of director of marketing

SAN MATEO, California--PreXion, a leader in 3D Cone Beam imaging systems for dentistry, has announced the appointment of Keith G. Bateman as director of marketing.

PreXion President/COO Robert Meier, commented, "We are excited to have Keith on our senior management team and I look forward to working with him in this capacity. His extensive sales and marketing leadership, experience and success in the dental and high tech medical equipment businesses over the past 15 years will help us maintain and accelerate the significant growth we experienced in 2009.

We are making the necessary investments in personnel, marketing, R&D and other areas to continue winning market share," added Meier.

We have a strong team internally and also across the U.S. which resulted in significant gains in market share in 2009 with an especially strong Q4."

Bateman joined PreXion as a regional manager in March 2009. From 1999-2007 he was the executive vice president of global sales and marketing at Biolase Technology. During his tenure at Biolase, he helped build the company into al leader in dental lasers.

He was a founder behind the formation of the World Clinical Laser Institute, a dental laser teaching organization.

Bateman was a founder of Technology4Medicine and held management positions with HGM Medical Lasers' international and domestic divisions. He also served in the U.S. foreign service during the 1980s and is a graduate of the University of Utah.
