Registration opens for "Leadership in Green Health Care" course
BERKELEY, California--The Teleosis Institute, an educational non-profit organization based in Berkeley, has announced that registration has opened for its groundbreaking "Leadership in Green Health Care" course for health-care practitioners.
The eight-week online course begins Jan. 14, 2008. Registration and additional information is available at www.teleosis.org.
Leadership in Green Health Care is designed to prepare health professionals as leaders in the newly emerging discipline of sustainable medicine. Sustainable medicine is an approach to health and wellness that focuses on cost-effective health care, renewable treatment methods, and preventative self-care education.
"Because sustainable medicine is a new area of instruction, most health-care practitioners did not have exposure to the topic during their medical training" said Joel R. Kreisberg, DC, MA, founder and executive director of the Teleosis Institute. "Our course introduces them to the theory, latest research, best practices and opportunities for community action."
Larry Dossey, M.D., author of Reinventing Medicine and Teleosis advisor said "The Green Health Care Program is a practical, effective way of implementing environmentally responsible actions in the medical environment. This program should be followed in every office, clinic and hospital."
