By ADAA president Kay Moslely, CDA
One woman with lofty goals and a passion for her career. So began the American Dental Assistants Association. Juliette A. Southard, our founder, truly was a visionary 79 years ago when she recognized that success in life is not a destination, but it is in the journey. She believed that life's journey wasn't just to seek new landscapes, but to have eyes that could see new concepts and ideas. She had a passion to succeed and the ability to lead others in a journey of success. I believe that there are many keys to success
At this time, more than 15,000 dental assistants throughout the world are sharing Juliette Southard's vision and joining me on the journey of success and achievement in the dental assisting profession and in membership in the ADAA.
As ADAA's new president, I am thrilled to be able to present the newest members of our board of trustees, including three new officers and four new trustees. I can also take this opportunity to offer all non-member dental assistants the opportunity to join ADAA now at a special, reduced fee of only $100 through October 31, 2003. This fee includes all charges and ADAA will pay your state dues.
As an ADAA member, you will receive the Journal every other month, professional liability insurance, accidental death insurance, discounts on continuing education home study courses, and free courses in the Journal with only a minimal charge for grading. You will receive discounts on national convention fees and often on state and local programs and the invitation to participate in other program such as free Internet resumé posting, credit card, travel, and insurance opportunities.
Share in the vision, join in our journey, become a part of the ADAA ... the people who make dental assisting a profession!
