3M ESPE announces an innovation to the Express™ line of impression materials ¿ the addition of the 3M™ ESPE™ Garant™ Dispenser. By combining the reliability of Express impression materials with the easy-to-use Garant Dispenser, dentists can be assured of the proven results they expect from Express impression materials, with a new, convenient delivery system.
The Express impression material system was the first vinyl polysiloxane automix system used worldwide, and for 20 years dentists who prefer a hand-mixed putty system have relied on Express impression material to deliver accurate, reliable results. Express impression material allows for maximum technique flexibility, which gives dentists the freedom to use either the two-step or simultaneous putty-wash technique. Used in the putty-wash technique, 3M™ ESPE™ Express™ STD Putty mixes easily without streaking. In addition, the thixotropic Express wash material, which is available in three formulations to meet all procedural needs and viscosity preferences, flows freely yet stays on the preparation without slumping.
The addition of the Garant dispenser makes Express impression material even easier for dentists to dispense and use, and it virtually eliminates the frustration of plugged cartridges. In addition, the dual-port cartridge minimizes the risk of cross contamination, and cartridges and mixing tips are color-coded for easy use. Adding to its convenience, the Garant dispenser can confidently be used with all 3M ESPE syringeable impression materials.
3M ESPE plans to offer an Express impression material Upgrade Kit, including the new Garant dispenser, for the same price of a four-cartridge re-fill pack. Express impression material re-fill packs now come in a four-cartridge size, so dentists do not need to re-order as often. The new dispenser also will be included in introductory kits for new users, and is available as a stand-alone product.
