A two-year lease of a 2004 BMW Z-4 Roadster 2.5i was recently awarded Dr. Charles Frye, a general dentist in Pittsburgh, Pa. Dr. Frye was one of the luckiest entries in the DENTSPLY Ceramco CZ-4 Sweepstakes, which hit the road this past February. Ceramco is the fixed crown and bridge products group of DENTSPLY Prosthetics, a division of DENTSPLY International.

Three lucky entrants also won Minolta DiMage Z1 Digital Cameras. They were Ronald Farris of The Denture Studio, Gresham, OR; Dr. W.H. Spieser of Florissant, MO; and Dr. Lee Odland of Southdale Dental Associates, Edina, MN.

Ten PalmOne Zire PDAs and 100 Zip & Clip Sunglass Cases were also awarded to contest participants. The contest was open to dentists, dental hygienists, dental technicians and dental assistants licensed and practicing in the continental United States.

Dental professionals could enter the contest at dental meetings and through product prescription registration. The Ceramco CZ-4 Sweepstakes ended July 31, 2004, with over 3,000 entries received.

Each time licensed dentists prescribed DENTSPLY Ceramco's CERCON® zirconia all-ceramic crown and bridge material, ECLIPSE® monomer-free appliances, or Vitallium®, Vitallium ®2000 and 2000®+ removable partial denture frameworks, they were able to submit an official entry form in the contest.

The contest raised awareness for the CERCON Zirconia all-ceramic, the ECLIPSE Prosthetic Resin and Vitallium Partial Denture alloy products with dental professionals throughout the United States.

CERCON Zirconia crowns and bridges are metal-free, so no metal margins or
gray colors show through to mar the esthetics of the final restoration. Yet, the zirconia core frame work has unequalled strength and fracture toughness properties.

The ECLIPSE Prosthetic Resin System is DENTSPLY'S latest advancement in prosthetic dentistry (removable full and partial dentures and other appliances) which cures materials using heat and light, requiring less time, labor and equipment. DENTSPLY International's Ceramco group markets these products to dental laboratories and dentists in North America.
