SOUTHFIELD, Michigan--After almost a year in development, DENTEMAX has announced the launch of a redesigned public Web site with a corresponding new corporate logo.
Since the network's inception in 1985, DENTEMAX has grown from a small regional network to a dental PPO network with more than 72,000 access points nationwide serving more than 4.5 million members. As a result of DENTEMAX's evolution, the company felt it needed a new image to reflect the company it is today.
"DENTEMAX continues to move in new and exciting directions. We knew we wanted our corporate identity to match the progress of the company," said Melissa Wagner, vice president of sales and marketing with DENTEMAX. "A strong, clear corporate identity provides a strategic advantage. We feel the new logo and corresponding updated public Web site are a true representation of what DENTEMAX is today. Our new look is reflective of the innovative and exciting directions we'll continue to pursue in the coming years."
Rick V. Morrone, president and CEO of DENTEMAX, is pleased the new DENTEMAX logo was created by an internal graphic designer, after soliciting in-put from DENTEMAX staff in addition to the dentists and dental administrators with whom DENTEMAX works.
"We used our internal staff and resources to create the logo and it expresses their feelings about what DENTEMAX is all about," he said.
Morrone feels the new logo and corresponding website are better representations of what DENTEMAX is today. "The new logo flows, the circular images represent togetherness, it defines the people and the culture of DENTEMAX," he said.
"A change is always good to keep an organization moving forward. It can have a rejuvenating effect on the staff," added Morrone. "It was time for a change. The company has grown and evolved into something different than the original website was able to project. It was time to reidentify, relaunch, redefine what DENTEMAX is all about."
Amy Frenzel, vice president of operations, views the new look as a positive change for DENTEMAX.
"Our corporate logo should represent what we believe DENTEMAX to be about-- from the viewpoint of all of our constituents including our customers, our participating dentists, our supplier partners and our employees. With that in mind, we felt it was time to really examine how we were representing ourselves, and we came to the conclusion that it was time for a change. Our current logo had been through several iterations over the last several years to keep up with our changing business but it never quite caught up to who we are now, and who we aspire to be in the future. Our new logo and corresponding look are a much better representation of who we are at DENTEMAX--and this change, which is a significant departure from our old look--really demonstrates the new direction and forward motion we will be pursuing in the coming year and years to come."
The public portion of www.DENTEMAX.com launched Jan. 1. The initial focus was on the public section of the site. DENTEMAX will begin working on the secure portion of the site later in 2007.
