Anjuli Avis, CRDH

India Chance, RDH, CDIPC
India Chance is a distinguished dental safety specialist with extensive expertise as a Registered Dental Hygienist, Certified Infection Control Educator, and authorized OSHA and HIPAA trainer. She is the founder of Learn2Prevent, where she leads initiatives focused on dental compliance and exceptional patient safety.
Throughout her career, India has trained thousands of dental health-care providers and partnered with hundreds of dental practices, equipping teams to deliver the safest possible dental care. Her work has earned recognition from organizations including the CDC Office of Oral Health and the Association for Dental Safety (ADS). She serves on the Editorial Review Boards for ADS and DentistryIQ and is a Dental Board Inspector for the Maryland State Board of Dental Examiners. In 2023, she received the ADS Emerging Infection Control Leader Award.
Teresa Duncan, MS
With over 25 years of health-care experience, Teresa addresses topics such as insurance systems, office manager training, and patient conversations. Her memberships include Dental Entrepreneurial Women and the National Association of Dental Plans. Her book, Moving Your Patients to Yes: Easy Insurance Conversations, and her podcast, Nobody Told Me That! are well-known resources for the dental community.
She has contributed regularly to the ADA’s Annual CDT Companion Guide and coauthored several of the ADA's Guidelines for Practice Success kits. She founded Dental Revenue Network to bring carriers, billers, and revenue cycle companies together. Teresa received her master’s degree in health-care management.
Nicole Grant, DMD
Dr. Nicole Grant feels like she's found her calling to help phobic patients get through one of the hardest things, a dental visit. As a member of the Clark County Dental Society, she appreciates the unique community dentistry provides. In her spare time, she's a writer working on publishing her first novel.

Lisa Hardill, RDH, BHADM, PG Dip
Lisa has been a registered dental hygienist since 2003, with experience spanning private practice, public health, and independent practice. In 2017, she expanded her career beyond the operatory, moving into dental sales and consulting with a focus on preventive products, practice growth strategies, implants, biomaterials, and digital dentistry.
This diverse experience led to her current role in clinical development with a leading dental service organization, where she supports hundreds of dental hygienists and teams across Ontario.
Outside of her clinical development role, she serves as a hygiene coach with the Clear Aligner Leadership Bootcamp and as an Ambassador for Women in Digital Dentistry. Lisa also presents webinars and continuing education sessions across a variety of platforms, sharing practical, evidence-based strategies to help dental professionals elevate patient care and team collaboration.
A passionate writer, Lisa runs strictlydentalpro—a blog dedicated to leadership, clinical insights, and empowering dental hygienists in their professional growth. Machell Hoover, RDH, CHC
Machell Hoover, RDH, CHC, is the CEO of Integrative Dental Coaching and a nationally recognized educator advancing oral–systemic health care. Her passion will always remain rooted in her love for dental hygiene and elevating patient care. She partners with Spear Education, 3D Dentists, and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine to help dental teams implement evidence-driven, risk-based care. Machell also serves on the advisory boards for the American Academy for Oral & Systemic Health and DentistryIQ, working to strengthen collaboration between dentistry and medicine. She believes that elevating care begins when compassion meets evidence, and that when clinicians combine science, curiosity, and human connection, dentistry becomes more than treatment; it becomes a pathway to lasting health.
Timothy Ives, MA Ed, RDH
Timothy Ives is a dental hygienist, educator, and writer whose work focuses on the relationship between oral health, nutrition, and the wider influences that shape patient well-being. He is cofounder of O’Hehir University, where he contributes to continuing education focused on behavior change, prevention, and thoughtful engagement with emerging evidence.
Alongside his clinical and educational work, Timothy is an earth science graduate and has an interest in complex systems, perspectives that inform how he approaches health and prevention. His writing and teaching increasingly explore how dietary patterns, ultraprocessed foods, and public health environments interact to influence oral, systemic, and societal health.
By connecting clinical insight with broader scientific perspectives, he hopes to encourage more thoughtful conversations about prevention and the future of oral health care.
Hendrik Lai, DBA(hc), MBA, EMBA, MS, BDS, CM, ChMC, FIDM
Dr. Hendrik Lai is a dentist, operator, and enterprise strategy advisor specializing in performance transformation across the dental ecosystem. As managing partner of Viturtal Consulting, he advises DSOs, private equity sponsors, and growth-focused practices on scaling operations, optimizing revenue models, and building durable enterprise value.
With more than 15 years in management consulting and hands-on experience as a multisite practice operator and executive leader, Dr. Lai bridges clinical operations and boardroom strategy. His work spans KPI architecture, analytics-driven decision-making, revenue cycle management, dental technology and SaaS enablement, workforce strategy, and postacquisition integration—ensuring performance gains are measurable and sustainable.

Heather McGuire, RDH
Heather is a dental industry leader whose career spans clinical practice, dental service organization leadership, and professional education. She serves as senior manager of professional education and relations at Philips Oral Healthcare, where she leads strategic initiatives supporting dental professionals across clinical and academic channels. Her work includes developing continuing education programs, strengthening partnerships with professional organizations and universities, and collaborating with clinicians and educators to ensure programs reflect real-world clinical practice.
Heather began her career as a practicing registered dental hygienist before advancing into leadership roles within multiple dental service organizations, including director of dental hygiene development and director of clinical success, where she built programs that strengthened patient care, clinical consistency, and professional growth across dental teams.
She is also a master practitioner and certified coach in neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), mental and emotional release, and hypnosis, integrating behavioral science and communication principles into her approach to education and leadership.
Heather is passionate about advancing the profession by connecting clinicians, educators, and industry partners to support the future of dentistry and improve oral health outcomes.
Bethany Montoya, MBA, RDH
Bethany is a practicing dental hygienist, educator, industry key opinion leader, and editorial director of DentistryIQ’s Clinical Insights newsletter. She has a passion for advancing modern disease prevention. She specializes in exploring the intersection of clinical practice, professional growth, and innovation within oral health care. Through her writing, she aims to educate, inspire, and spark meaningful dialogue in the dental community.
Josalyn Sewell, RDH
Josey is the Founder of joyFULL Growth, a leadership and performance company dedicated to helping dental organizations build thriving teams through stronger systems, clearer expectations, and empowered leaders. With a background in dentistry and executive coaching, she partners with dental groups, clinical directors, and associates to improve engagement, performance, and long-term sustainability across practices. Amisha Singh, DDS
Dr. Singh serves on the Colorado Dental Association (CDA) House of Delegates, American Dental Association (ADA) Dental Wellness Advisory Committee, and the Metro Denver Dental Society and CDA Membership Councils. She is the CDA New Dentist Committee chair-elect, as well as a blogger and professional speaker working with IgniteDDS. Dr. Singh is the Advanced via Individual Determination (AVID) health-care liaison for Denver Public Schools and a workforce diversity consultant for the Colorado Department of Public Health. An ADA Success speaker, she participates in the ADA Institute of Diversity in Leadership and is the founder of the CDA Diversity in Leadership program.
Tony Stefanou, DMD
Dr. Stefanou is a 1987 graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston. He has a unique background in the industry, having practiced dentistry for 20 years (built a private dental/chiropractic office from scratch), and while he is still licensed, he has now been entirely focused on the “business” side of the dental industry for the past 15 years. He has been the dental director, director of product development, and director of professional relations for several dental companies.
Dr. Stefanou earned a CBI (Certified Business Intermediary) designation from the prestigious IBBA and is the founder and CEO of Connect the Dents, LLC , a dental exclusive mergers and acquisitions and business development advisory company, which offers a number of services including representation for dental companies interested in acquiring other companies or selling their company. He is the developer of the OPA (Objective Practice Appraisal) system and his company provides hundreds of practice valuations throughout the country on an annual basis.

Rachel Wall, RDH
As an international speaker, coach, and owner of Inspired Hygiene, Rachel has guided thousands of dental professionals to elevate their hygiene services and systems while driving profits to the bottom line and developing empowered, engaged hygienists. Rachel draws from over 30 years of experience as a hygiene profitability coach and clinical hygienist to deliver to-the-point interactive workshops and coaching programs.
