New Tooth Tunes: Music in your mouth

Oct. 16, 2012
Two-minute tunes encourage longer brushing
Meg Kaiser, Associate Editor
Princeton, NJ – These new toothbrushes for kids from Arm & Hammer will encourage brushing without complaining. Why? Because the kids can brush to one of their favorite tunes that's playing right in their toothbrush for two minutes, the time dentists recommend for brushing.

How does it work? Sound vibrations stream from the bristles of the toothbrush through the teeth, allowing kids to hear music while they brush. The brush, made with patented technology, delivers high quality sound by broadcasting music into the jaw, which is then transmitted through the inner ear, allowing the brusher to hear the music.

Each brush includes one song, ranging from chart-topping pop songs to classic rock anthems. Choices include “All Day” by Cody Simpson, “Dynamite” by Taio Cruz, “I Gotta Feeling” by Black Eyed Peas, “If I Ruled the World” by Big Time Rush, “Just the Way You Are” by Bruno Mars, “Only Girl (In the World)” by Rihanna, “Round & Round” by Selena Gomez & The Scene, “Tonight, Tonight” by Hot Chelle Rae, and “We Will Rock You” by Queen.

“Kids will love brushing their teeth to their very own soundtrack, and moms will be thrilled that Arm & Hammer Tooth Tunes encourages longer brushing,” said Tim Seitter, VP of Oral Care Marketing, Church & Dwight Co., Inc.

The Tooth Tunes toothbrushes, brought to you by the No. 1 kid’s battery-powered toothbrush brand, have a suggested retail price of $9.99 and are available nationwide. Dental professionals interested in the brushes for their practice can call 800-447-6666 or visit spinbrush.com.
