ClassOne Orthodontics, a Lubbock, Texas-based orthodontics manufacturer and distributor, recently earned national recognition from the Metal Powder Industries Federation for outstanding application of powder metallurgy.

The Award of Distinction, presented in Chicago in early June, recognized ClassOne's Carriere Distalizer, a molar distalizing appliance that treats Class II malocclusions. The award was presented at the 2004 International Conference on Powder Metallurgy and Particulate Materials.

"We're proud to have received this recognition," said Kenny Gallagher, ClassOne Orthodontics president. "The Carriere Distalizer is a product currently rivaling all the big names out there."

ClassOne has introduced the new appliance that relies upon a simple approach to the complex problem of Class II malocclusions. The device represents a blending of biomechanical principles with state-of-the-art computer design to produce a simple mechanism that will change Class II malocclusions into Class I within a matter of three to four months -- even in adults.
