Products for coping with pandemic-related challenges: Glove’n Care

June 5, 2020
In this series, Dr. Howard Glazer looks at products that can help practices during these challenging times. Here he reviews Glove’n Care Hand Cream and Instant Hand Sanitizer from Essential Dental Systems, Inc.

Editor's note: In an effort to keep you informed of products that can help dental practices during the COVID-19 pandemic, Dental Economics columnist Howard Glazer, DDS, FAGD, has authored a special multipart series. In each installment, he reviews a product that can assist you during this challenging time.

Glove’n Care Hand Cream & Glove’n Care Instant Hand Sanitizer

Suffering from dry skin as a result of wearing gloves is often the consequence of working in a dental office. Given the current state of
the world, this problem is only exacerbated by the fact that we may be wearing gloves outside the office while shopping and doing other daily activities. Essential Dental, well known for Flexipost and their terrific endodontic products and systems, has introduced two great hand care products.

Glove’n Care Instant Hand Sanitizer is unscented, non-drying, and features an enriched aloe formulation that kills 99.9% of germs. It is available in a pump dispenser, and is ideal when paired with Glove’n Care Hand Cream. The hand cream is water-based, and made from essential minerals mined from the Dead Sea—sodium chloride, calcium chloride, sulfate, potassium, and magnesium, all designed to maintain the water content of the skin. Unlike petroleum-based products, this product will not compromise glove integrity. It is hypoallergenic and leaves your hands soft and smooth. Both products are available in either a pump or tube.

At a time when wearing gloves is arguably more crucial to public health than ever before, this duo is ideal to sanitize and protect your hands.

Howard Glazer, DDS, FAGD, is a columnist for Dental Economics. He is a key opinion leader in dental products and maintains a general practice in Fort Lee, New Jersey.
