In this interview, ADA representative Mia Geisinger, DDS, explains why the ADA's response to the coronavirus pandemic was behind that of many other organizations.

Why did the American Dental Association take longer than many state and local dental organizations to communicate with dentists? Dr. Pamela Maragliano-Muniz discusses this with Dr. Mia Geisinger, who for the last several weeks has served on the ADA’s COVID-19 task force. Dr. Geisinger explains that the ADA sought guidance from many experts and organizations regarding the different concerns about the virus and how dentists should approach the pandemic. Bottom line: how long are dental practices going to be asked to be closed?
