Octogenarian Marvin Patton thought little about his dentist's absence at the Heights office where he had impressions made for a denture repair last year.

When he returned weeks later to pick up the $600 plate, he was met by an investigator who told him no one had worked on the repairs, the office was under investigation and the dentist was dead.

"When I went back, this lady from the Attorney General's Office showed me her badge and said there was fraud there," Patton, 81, said. "She said the doctor was dead and had been dead, and these people kept running it without a license."
