Joyce Turcotte, RDH, MEd, owner and founder of Professional Learning Services, started her business 25 years ago out of the guest room of her home in Monroe, Conn. Turcotte was driven by her goal to be the first to offer dental hygienists an alternative way to stay on top the latest trends in their field while allowing them to fulfill their state licensing requirements.
To celebrate the 25th anniversary, Turcotte has packed the 2012 Professional Learning Services schedule with speakers and guests such as, Dr. Esther Wilkins, Dr. Robert Fazio, Dr. JoAnn Gurenlian and Dr. Ann Eshenaur-Spolarich. All of the speakers will present at different locations in Connecticut throughout the year. The first event is scheduled for March 25, 2012, at the Water’s Edge Resort in Westbrook, Conn.
To show her appreciation, Turcotte said attendees will also be thanked with tuition courtesies and other surprises.
“I am well aware that my successes have been made possible by my loyal customers and supportive peers,” she explains, “It says a lot that I’ve been able to operate PLS as a small, local business all these years.”
Since 1987, PLS has offered continuing education courses for dental and health care professionals. The courses are compliant with continuing education regulations. and are recognized by ADA CERP, AADH, Inc and AHA.
