Total responses: 77
78 hourly rates were reported, including several from hygienists employed in multiple offices; the average hourly rate is $33.59. The highest reported was $55 an hour; the lowest was $20 an hour. Common hourly rates reported included $33 (6%), $40 (6%), $25 (5%), $28 (5%), $29 (5%), and $35 (5%).
The question on the survey was, "What benefits are available to you through your employer?" So the percentages below merely indicate who can take advantage of the benefits. It does not necessarily indicate who exercises these benefits.
- Health insurance, 46%
- Employer contribution towards retirement, 74%
- Paid vacation and holidays, 85%
- Paid sick leave, 50%
- Life insurance, 12%
- Dental insurance, 21%
- Disability insurance, 21%
- CE tuition reimbursement, 55%
Each link below to the various states contains at least some information regarding salaries. However, the number of responses from a few states was so low that we felt the percentages of hygienists receiving benefits might be misleading.
