Arizona RDH salary and benefits 2011

Oct. 6, 2011
2011 salaries and benefits for dental hygienists

Arizona

Total responses: 42

Salary

32 of the 42 respondents (76%) practice in the Phoenix metropolitan area. 35 hourly rates were reported; the average hourly rate is $40.58. $50 was the highest rate reported, and $33 an hour was the lowest rate reported. 10 respondents (24%) indicated that they earn $40 an hour.

Benefits

The question on the survey was, "What benefits are available to you through your employer?" So the percentages below merely indicate who can take advantage of the benefits. It does not necessarily indicate who exercises these benefits.

  • Health insurance, 30%
  • Employer contribution towards retirement, 42%
  • Paid vacation and holidays, 85%
  • Paid sick leave, 30%
  • Life insurance, 6%
  • Dental insurance, 12%
  • Disability insurance, 3%
  • CE tuition reimbursement, 36%

Each link below to the various states contains at least some information regarding salaries. However, the number of responses from a few states was so low that we felt the percentages of hygienists receiving benefits might be misleading.
